North Roosevelt Island during the COVID-19 PAUSE

March 26, 2020 - a glorious sunny Thursday afternoon during our COVID-19 PAUSE.

Many of us on Roosevelt Island had been confined for days, so when the sun came out and the temperature reached 57F / 14C, hundreds of residents came out for a walk, to enjoy the sun, and to spend time with their kids and loved ones.

With my photography I sought to capture the warmth of the late afternoon sun and the bright light that helped lift everyone's spirits as we wait out the PAUSE.
Looking north up the East River, from Roosevelt Island. Upper East Side of Manhattan at top left.
Lovely Seagull.
Canada Geese in the bright late afternoon sunshine.
FDR Drive, Manhattan. Blooming Cherry Blossom Trees. Gracie Mansion in yellow at lower middle right.
The northwest seawall and Roosevelt Island Lighthouse. Astoria at rear.
West Promenade, Roosevelt Island. Octagon Apartments at rear.
Bright green moss on the rocks. Dayspring Church at rear
Tugboat Kristy Ann pushing a barge north on the East River.
Thanks for looking and I hope to meet some of you when the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Please leave any comments.

Spring is almost here and let's hope for great times in the remainder of 2020.
